Occasionally one is greatly inspired by an artist. Brigitte Kowanz, a Viennese artist states the importance of light to her work; "For me, light is material and medium, omnipresent energy. Light itself is information and at the same time a carrier of information. It is the basis for rendering all things visible; it is a means of illumination and at the same time a conceptual medium. I was drawn into the simplicity of this piece, the animation through light of what the other senses perceive through morse."
Her website www.kowanz.com illustrates the enormous breadth of work and the integration of some large scale pieces into architectural projects. I greatly look forward to keeping you abreast of her recent projects.
