Frog Light Bulb

So when you think of a light bulb you think of the traditional and elegant shaped incandescent bulbs, not liking the thought of having to give these up to become more energy efficient and save money on bills during the economic downturn?





This LED light bulb uses the high-output energy efficient LED light source. It uses half the power of a fluorescent energy efficient bulbs lasting ten times longer. This LED contains the beauty of the incandescent version yet made of unbreakable plastics, solid-state components and no mercury.

Artisans & Light Exhibition

International sculptor and lighting designer Bruce Munro returns after 10 years to Black Swan's Arts in Frome, Somerset, from 15th November to 24th December 2008.
Bruce and his team will install a chandelier in Black Swan's Gallery Two, on the first floor of an 18th century round tower originally used for drying wool, with stone walls and a conical roof. The intimate space is naturally dark, which increases the drama of the illumination.



Munro's 'Light Shower' fibre optic chandelier will be mounted from a ceiling plate and cascade down to floor level in an extraordinary shower of light.


Everyone loves the spectacular Bruce Munro, so surely this cannot be missed.....

Pick a pocket full of Light....

Have you ever been caught out when your power goes? Or can't find what you are looking for because its too dark? This credit card light will change all of this.


All you have to do is flip up the lightbulb shaped cut-out to switch on the soft, mellow, glow of bliss! This incredibly simple yet effective design is magnificent for quick light when required.



This is definitely something I will be flipping into action!

Vogue Secret Address Book

The much treasured and revered Annual Vogue Secret Address Book has been released in the December issue of the magazine featuring those exclusive creme de la creme companies that one simply must be aware of. Need to hire an animal? Trying to find a magnolia orchid? Some specialist yoga yachting wear? This little essential has it all; it even features Light IQ as the specialist Lighting Company.....


Now that makes it worth getting :)

Enlightenment: the Durham International Light Festival takes place this week on 6th - 8th November.

Four new light-based artworks show Durham as viewed through the eyes of two very different cultures. The installations are a fusion of cultural identities, creative styles and methods of working.

The major pieces will be supported by Intermittent, a light trail of smaller installations, projections, film works and light boxes which will illuminate shop windows, bars and office spaces across the City.

Definitely something innovative and different that surely cannot be missed!
