Rustic Retreat

The "Crewe" uplighter as shown in January 09 House and Garden magazine was especially designed and named after the editor, Susan Crewe.

Light IQ combined the use of the beautiful natural daylight with discreet lighting and a sophisticated control system to give you perfect bright lights for working and cooking, then with the push of a button the lighting will dim to give a gentle glowing light for romance and relaxation.

A high vaulted ceiling an extremely tricky and difficult area to light but the "Crewe" uplight with batwings and a glare shield sits on top of the beams, emitting a gentle wash of light up into the ceiling void giving a wonderful ambient light enhancing the beauty of the wood and architectural structure.

There are only a few "Crewe" uplighters left in stock and in a range of colours. The fitting can be purchased on our website under the interior product uplighters section or alternatively please call us on 0208 7491900. Take a look yourself to transform your dull barn into a retreat of natural beauty.

Making light a sculpture

Jonathan Stockton produces contemporary outdoor furniture in teak and oak in Sussex, when illuminated with LED's the furniture becomes a beautiful yet functional light sculpture!

"Any individual piece or group of pieces can be illuminated with our colour-changing LED Lighting system. We can supply simple systems or those with full remote control. Pieces that are the focal point in a garden during the day can be transformed into a contemporary light sculpture at night" says John Stockton.

Now that will definitely be everyone's talking point at any traditional garden party!
