Philip Moule, our Business and Financial Director, has recently been elected to be a Corporate Committee Member of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) by its Board of Directors. The BIID has been recently formed as a result of the British Interior Design Association (BIDA) receiving an Institute status. As a result of Philip's membership, he will be able to help the BIID to reach some of its key goals of:

fostering high standards and awareness of interior design

encouraging excellence in British design through education, training and CPDs

mentoring students and new designers to allow them to reach their full potential

making interior design more accessible to the public

Furthermore, Philip will be able to represent companies in the industry allowing BIID to drive interior design forwards whilst utilising the experience of operational designers, and supporting them to maximise the potential of British interior design.

Additionally, our Design Director, Rebecca Weir, has been accepted as a Member class of the Society of Light and Lighting (MSLL) which has a one hundred year history in influencing lighting within interior design. Rebecca has also been awarded with a Lighting Diploma from the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL), both awards being the result of the recognition of Rebecca's achievements and excellent standards of work on over 650 lighting projects. The SLL similarly aims to promote high standards in lighting, but also produces lighting publications and advises governments and standards agencies on lighting and its associated health and safety issues.

As a MSLL, Rebecca will be able to work with others involved with the art, science and engineering of light such as manufacturers, ergonomists, ophthalmologists and physicists to help support the SLL and its activities.
