Chelsea Flower Show 2010

A gold medal for the Smallbone Alfresco Kitchen, a design collaboration with Stephen Woodhams, Amdega and Raymond Blanc. Inspired by the interplay between kitchen and garden, Smallbone’s beautiful handmade ‘Oak & Silver’ kitchen is built within a contemporary orangery by Amdega. The folding glass doors open on to the garden, where Stephen Woodhams has created a gloriously lush, but highly architectural planting scheme with a fully furnished outside living room and fireplace. Colours, textures and other design elements are carried through between kitchen and garden, further blurring the distinction between inside and out. LightIQ were delighted to design the garden lighting scheme for Stephen and were thrilled that the team achieved gold.
