Interior Shelf Lights

Shelf lights can be used to provide simple highlighting of wardrobe areas or task lighting in a kitchen. Used in most rooms, they create a discreet simple ambience whilst still having the option for practical light. They can be useful in all aspects of a room as they can be used to create lighting layers which help to link the different elements of the space causing a pleasing and flowing effect for the eye. Long linear details in a room will help to delineate the space and are suitable in both architectural and traditional spaces. The colour temperature of the lamp will need to be altered depending on the style of the space but undershelf lighting in frequented areas is an essential lighting layer for many lighting schemes.

Separately controlled under cupboard lights can be installed in the kick plate of islands and cabinets to provide low level illumination for midnight trips to the fridge. LED lights are used to best effect here as they are cool to touch, give a suitable amount of light and are delicate enough to be installed in small details such as kick plates.

Fluorescent lights are becoming incredibly more popular because of this, but also because of the vast quantities of warm light that can be generated from this light source and used for general light within the space. Batons can be hidden from view so as to avoid glare.
