Special lighting effects can be achieved by utilising simple light fittings in unusual locations and configurations or with unique fabrics and textures. When the project demands, specialist lights need to be installed to add the ‘wow factor to a lighting scheme.

Fibre optic starry skies produce a wonderfully magical effect over a ceiling or wall. Fibre tails are installed from above the ceiling so that small fibre ends glow with either white or coloured light, producing the effect of a glittering starry sky. A sparkle-wheel can be added to the light box which will make the stars appear to be moving and glittering. Coloured wheels can be easily added to change the colour and intensity of the stars. As an addition to this special lighting effect, Swarovski Crystals can be added to the end of each fibre; when the light penetrates through, it will produce a large star-like pattern on the surface. The Swarovski Crystals come in a variety of sizes and shapes, creating a random scattering of stars across your ceiling.

Light flex LED is the latest strip LED that is only 4mm wide, allowing it to be used on the smallest of architectural details. It can bend around corners, comes in a variety of strengths and colours, including the full white spectrum and is very easy to install. It is the alternative to ropelight, LED ropelight, xenon light, click strip, fluorescents and cold cathode.

Light projectors can also be customised to any shape, allowing illumination to be projected onto a surface and produce an endless variety of shapes and effects.
